Si è concluso con emozioni profonde e un forte senso di appartenenza il percorso stagionale del progetto One Team di Olimpia Milano, un viaggio che ancora una volta ha dimostrato quanto lo sport possa essere uno strumento potente capace di unire le persone, abbattere barriere e creare legami autentici.
Le ultime tappe di questo cammino sono state esperienze condivise, momenti di crescita e occasioni per vivere in prima persona i valori che stanno alla base del progetto.
Un’esperienza oltre il basket
Nel mese di Marzo, One Team ha portato i ragazzi nella nuova arena di Santa Giulia per respirare l’area della Paraolimpiadi, dove hanno assistito a una partita di hockey paralimpico. Non è stata solo una partita, ma una lezione di vita. In campo si respiravano determinazione, resilienza e spirito di squadra, valori che hanno colpito profondamente tutti i presenti. È in contesti come questi che lo sport mostra la sua forma più autentica: non conta il risultato, ma la capacità di superare i propri limiti e condividere un obiettivo comune.
Allenarsi con i campioni
Il viaggio è poi proseguito il 31 Marzo con un allenamento speciale presso il centro sportivo del settore giovanile di Olimpia Milano. In campo, insieme a loro, c’erano figure di riferimento della prima squadra di Olimpia come l’ambassdor Ousmane Diop, il capitano Shavon Shields e l’head coach Peppe Poeta, che hanno condiviso tempo, consigli e sorrisi, dimostrando come lo sport possa avvicinare persone con storie e percorsi diversi.
La presenza di rappresentanti del Consolato degli Stati Uniti, come Savannah Hillebrand e Yoon Nam, ha dato ulteriore valore all’incontro, sottolineando la dimensione internazionale e culturale del progetto. In quell’occasione, ogni ragazzo ha ricevuto un album di figurine Panini di EuroLeague, un piccolo gesto simbolico che racchiude la passione per il gioco e il senso di appartenenza a una grande comunità.
Il grande finale: sport e condivisione
Il gran finale si è svolto il 14 Aprile sul campo di allenamento della prima squadra, trasformato per un giorno in uno spazio aperto a tutti, dove sport e relazioni si sono intrecciati in modo naturale. Il torneo di basket ha coinvolto non solo i ragazzi, ma anche il preside della scuola Arcadia di Gratosoglio, i dipendenti di Olimpia Milano, il team di Laureus Italia e una rappresentanza dello sponsor Scalo Milano Outlet & More. In campo non c’erano ruoli o differenze: solo persone che, attraverso il gioco, condividevano lo stesso entusiasmo.
Le premiazioni hanno rappresentato il momento dove ogni ragazzo è stato celebrato con l’ attestato di partecipazione al programma One Team e un quadretto con le immagini più belle della stagione, un ricordo concreto di un percorso fatto di impegno, crescita e sorrisi. A rendere tutto ancora più speciale, un regalo inaspettato: due biglietti per assistere allo spettacolo degli Harlem Globetrotters, simbolo mondiale di divertimento e spettacolo attraverso il basket, proprio al forum di Assago.
Un finale da vivere insieme
La giornata si è conclusa con un buffet nella food room del club in cui tutti, ragazzi, staff e partner, si sono ritrovati insieme con la consapevolezza di aver vissuto qualcosa di bello insieme.
Questo è il vero valore di One Team: utilizzare lo sport come linguaggio universale, capace di creare connessioni, abbattere distanze e lasciare un segno nelle persone. Perché alla fine, oltre ai risultati e alle attività, ciò che resta davvero sono le relazioni costruite, le esperienze condivise e la certezza che, insieme, si può andare molto più lontano.

The season-long journey of Olimpia Milano’s One Team project came to a close with deep emotions and a strong sense of belonging—a journey that once again demonstrated just how powerful a tool sports can be in bringing people together, breaking down barriers, and forging authentic bonds.
The final stages of this journey were shared experiences, moments of growth, and opportunities to experience firsthand the values that underpin the project.
An experience beyond basketball
In March, One Team took the kids to the new Santa Giulia arena to experience the Paralympic atmosphere, where they watched a Paralympic hockey game. It wasn’t just a game, but a life lesson. On the ice rink, determination, resilience, and team spirit were palpable—values that deeply moved everyone present. In contexts like these, sport reveals its most authentic form: what matters isn’t the result, but the ability to overcome one’s limits and share a common goal.
Training with the Champions
The trip continued on March 31 with a special training session at the Olimpia Milano youth academy’s sports center. On the court, key figures from Olimpia’s first team, such as ambassador Ousmane Diop, captain Shavon Shields, and head coach Peppe Poeta, joined them, sharing their time, advice, and smiles., demonstrating how sports can bring people with different stories and backgrounds together.
The presence of representatives from the U.S. Consulate, such as Savannah Hillebrand and Yoon Nam, added further significance to the event, highlighting the project’s international and cultural dimensions. On that occasion, each young person received a Panini EuroLeague sticker album—a small symbolic gesture that embodies a passion for the game and a sense of belonging to a larger community.
The big final: sports and community
The final event took place on April 14 at the first team’s training court, which was transformed for the day into a space open to everyone, where sports and community came together naturally. The basketball tournament involved not only the kids, but also the principal of the Arcadia School in Gratosoglio, Olimpia Milano employees, the Laureus Italia team, and a delegation from the sponsor Scalo Milano Outlet & More. On the court, there were no roles or distinctions: just people who, through the game, shared the same enthusiasm.
The awards ceremony was the moment when each young person was celebrated with a certificate of participation in the One Team program and a small photo album featuring the best moments of the season—a tangible memento of a journey marked by commitment, growth, and smiles. To make it all even more special, there was an unexpected gift: two tickets to attend the Harlem Globetrotters show—a global symbol of fun and entertainment through basketball—right at the Assago Forum.
A final moment to be shared together
The day ended with a buffet in the club’s dining area, where everyone—the players, staff, and partners—gathered together, knowing they had shared a wonderful experience.
This is the true value of One Team: using sports as a universal language, capable of creating connections, bridging gaps, and leaving a lasting impression on people. In the end, beyond the results and activities, what truly remains are the relationships built, the shared experiences, and the certainty that, together, we can go much further.
