Olimpia had to trust its defense on the last possession when Jordan Parks took a long three from the top of the key to win the game for Reyer. Fortunately, it was short, Pippo Ricci controlled the rebound and Olimpia prevailed 79-78.<\/strong> It was a strange twist of events in Unipol Forum, because Olimpia simply dominated the game. After shooting 7-for-11 from three-point range in the first half, leading by 12, it extended the lead to 20 and closed the third quarter up by 17. And then the lights went off, reyer got on fire, with Rodney McGruder, Jordan Parks, finally Davide Casarin too. Some nightmares from the past showed up again. Olimpia was able to respond, led by Neno Dimitrijevic who had another big game, regained a seven-point lead entering the last two minutes but again there were even some unlucky plays, including a Pippo Ricci’s steal that became an assist for Kabengele. “For three quarter we played an excellent game, both ends of the floor. We need to focus on it. We turned the lights off in the fourth and that is not good, we need to improve on that, it shouldn’t happen,” Coach Ettore Messina said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neno Dimitrijevic finished with 17 points and 10 assists. Leandro Bolmaro added 16 points and 10 rebounds. Zach LeDay, who had a seriously ruggerd first half, had 16 points, five boards, five assists. Armoni Brooks finshed with nine points, but he had also three steals and was perfect from the arc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
