Olimpia led from wire to wire in Istanbul and defeated Fenerbahce on its home court for the third straight season, 82-75<\/strong>\u00a0after leading by as many as 14 points. The win was built on defense. Olimpia held Nick Calathes scoreless and Scottie Wilbekin to a 1-for-7 three-point shooting night, exposing itself only on Marko Guduric one on one and step back plays. However, it Jonhathan Mobley rebounding prowess that kept Fenerbahce into the game, with addition of some late shooting heroics by Carsen Edwards. But Olimpia had a lot from everybody, kept its composure and when it was needed found a lot of offensive resources too. Shabazz Napier after a five-point first half exploded with 21 second-half points. His game was a highlight show itself. Tim Luwawu-Cabarrot added 19 points. When Fenerbahce mounted a desperate comeback late in the game, Billy Baron made his only three to regain a seven-point lead and later completed a three-point play to finish the game for good. “I am very very happy. My team today, my players played with great desire, with great will. It\u2019s very difficult to win here against a very talented team, very physical. I think we had the lead almost 40 minutes, which is very difficult. So, congratulations to my players for a fantastic game,\u201d Coach Ettore Messina said at the end.<\/p>\n\n\n
