This time Olimpia performs for 40 minutes straight, without any letdown in terms of defensive intensity, shooting accuracy and quality of the game.<\/strong> Still with no Malcolm Delaney, and also without Nicol\u00f2 Melli (exempted to attend the baptism of his daughter), Olimpia played a remarkable game, was aggressive at defensive end of the floor, efficient offensively, tough at rebounding the ball, and defeated the defending European Champions of Efes, impressively, 90-62 . Coach Ataman’s team was without Shane Larkin and Tibor Pleiss, as in the scrimmage played two days earlier, but he deployed the rest of his artillery. Olimpia recovered Kaleb Tarczewski from “scrimmage 1” and again used 13 players, finishing the game with Jerian Grant at the point and four Italians, with a very aggressive Paul Biligha inside the paint, who closed the game with a steal and a basket on the break. After a first quarter substantially commanded by Milan, the margin became relevant in the second period, closed by a couple of Gigi Datome’s timely daggers, and then in the second half the game was definitively closed when Olimpia’s defense sustained the offense effort. During the third period, Efes managed to score just six points and the margin became huge, 32 points. Shavon Shields led the scorers with 17 points, using his inside-out game, Sergio Rodriguez was all over the floor, with six steals, leading the break, Dinos Mitoglou in spite of missing some fadeaways was a presence inside, grabbed seven rebounds\u00a0 and had also three steals, but everybody helped. Devon Hall showed his all-around game and Troy Daniels exhibited his outside shooting ability. It was a nice way to close the second week of work, now Olimpia will move to Paris for two official games, next weekend.
