Olimpia will took part in the today-announced Kaunas tournament, on September 12 and 13 at the Zalgirio Arena.<\/strong> The two-day competition will be organized by the EuroLeague under the “WE’RE BACK PRESEASON TOUR” umbrella. Olimpia will face Panathinaikos OPAP Athens, Anadolu Efes Istanbul and host Zalgiris Kaunas. One more tournament will be played on 15 and 16 in Valencia with the participation of FC Bayern Munich, Olympiacos Piraeus, LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and Valencia Basket.<\/p>\n

Olimpia will fly to Kaunas after completing the preliminary phase of the Italian Supercup, facing three of the top teams in Europe, including Efes who led the league before the stoppage.<\/p>\n

“We know how much our devoted fans have missed the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. I can assure everyone that the EuroLeague has missed the fans, too,” Euroleague Basketball President and CEO Jordi Bertomeu said. “The WE’RE BACK PRESEASON TOUR not only shortens everyone’s wait for top-level game, but will also give players, staff, teams and us as a league a chance to prepare as necessary for the official games in October.
