Pallacanestro Olimpia Milano has signed for three years Riccardo Moraschini,<\/strong> a 1.94 mt. guard, born on 8 January 1991 in Cento (Ferrara), coming from Happycasa Brindisi. “In Milan, I will be able to compete at the European top level and that will present in itself an opportunity to improve. My role will be to follow my coaches and teammates lead and try to help the team reach its goals, doing whatever it will take,” Moraschini said. “We are glad to bring in Milan an emerging Italian player who’s coming with the desire to help the team and fit into our family,”, Olimpia’s general manager Christos Stravropoulos said.<\/p>\n

HIS CAREER –<\/strong> Riccardo Moraschini grew up in the Virtus Bologna youth system and made his first-team debut in the 2007\/08 season. He played 45 Serie A games in Bologna before moving on to Biella for the 2010\/11 season, returning briefly the following year and then moving again to Sant\u2019Antimo. In 2012\/13 he played again in Bologna, then he spent a year in Rome, two years in Mantua in A2, a year in Trento, one more in Mantua (13.1 points per game in A2). Last season he was in Brindisi where he played 33 games out of 33 averaging 12.3 points per game, 2.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds, all career highs.<\/p>\n

NOTES –<\/strong> Moraschini was named Italian Player of the Year in the 2018\/19 season in which he had a personal record of 30 points in a single game (against Trieste) and scored against Trento the winning three at the buzzer that allowed Brindisi to earn a berth in the Final Eight, where it reached the championship game. Moraschini played in the Under 16, Under 18 and Under 20 National teams. In 2011, he won the European Under 20 silver medal in Bilbao. It also has 19 appearances with the senior National Team. He won the Under 17 championship in 2008 and the Under 19 championship in 2010, with Virtus Bologna.<\/p>\n
