Olimpia didn’t have enough energy, especially from a mental standpoint, after the end of its EuroLeague regular season,<\/strong> and played a spent game against Sassari, surrendering 93-79. Probably, Andrea Cinciarini was the only one with enough fuel in the tank. He was perfect from the field, and tried to keep the team alive for the most part. For the rest, everybody faced a down night even if Vlado Micov in spurts was effective. Sassari played an amost perfect game, around the monster outing by Jack Cooley who dominated inside thanks to his physical style that was allowed and let him express his best, while Olimpia’s big men struggled all night with foul problems. “It’s easy to speak about this game because we didn’t have energy, nervous energy, that is, after a long and demanding EuroLeague season – Coach Simone Pianigiani admitted – On top of being tired, there was some disappointment for the way it finished, with the playoffs right in front of us and still unreachable. Now a new season is starting, we need to regenerate the guys and then regrouping as a team. With those rules we have a EuroLeague season, an Italian league regular season and finally the playoffs. Now we can focus on it, we won’t worry about saving enery for the EuroLeague and we’ll be work to be ready, come playoff time”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
