Now it takes something drastic like winning four of the next five starting with two road games, in Trento, where the goal is to stay alive. Olimpia duag itself a huge hole by losing 78-71 in game 2. Trento leads the semifinal series 2-0. Game 3 is on Monday in Trento. The game was another battle, Trento was able to establish its physicality, its defense to the game. Olimpia tried to adjust, Coach Repesa used Fontecchio in the first half and Abass’ energy in the second, but it was a tough battle. Trento was better in gettng frst on loose balls, putting hands on everywhere, opponents, balls, all. It was Trento’s kind of game and they won. A scoring spurt by Flaccadori in the third, a couple of lucky breaks (twice it was everybody possession but the balls bounced towards Gomes for two easy baskets in a crucial time), including a buzzer-beating bank three by Aaron Craft that reduced the gap to two at the end of the third fueled Trento’s win. More than that: Kruno Simon had to leave the court in the second period because of an injury and Ricky Hickman went down in the third, tried to comeback but couldn’t do much in the fourth. No lucky breaks for Olimpia in spite of Davide Pascolo’s 14 points and a lot of desperation. “The series is not over. I strongly believe this. It’s not easy too.
