Coach Ettore Messina challenged his second unit to perform once more and sustain the team’s effort in order to stay unbeaten in the Italian league.<\/strong> And the second unit responded. Davide Moretti scored 15 points, leading the team, Paul Biligha played 15 minutes out of 20 in the second half, Andrea Cinciarini scored all of his 10 points in the fourth quarter. Five players scored in double figure, but more than that, Olimpia took the game over immediately and never relinquished it. In the end, Olimpia defeated Virtus Roma 93-71, after leading by more than 30 points. “It was a serious game from our part, the guys off the bench gave us a great support, think about Moretti, Biligha and Cinciarini. I’m happy that our Captain scored his 1.000th point while playing for this club,” Coach Ettore Messina said. After the exhausting comeback win over Real Madrid, with three players missing, he wanted to rest as much as possible some Kyle Hines and Sergio Rodriguez, than he elected not to play them and Shavon Shields to finish the game. “That’s why we finished a little tired, but resting some players was the right thing to do,” Messina explained.
