The \u201cKyle Hines Night\u201d is next! On May 3rd, during halftime of the game between Olimpia Milano and Pallacanestro Trieste, Kyle Hines will be celebrated for his induction into the club’s Hall of Fame. Hines arrived in Milan in the summer of 2020 and stayed for four years. During those four seasons, Olimpia won the Italian league championship three times (2022, 2023, 2024), the Italian Cup in 2021 and 2022, and the Supercup in 2020. With Hines anchoring the middle, Olimpia played in the EuroLeague Final Four in 2021 and the playoffs of the same competition in 2022. Hines played 144 EuroLeague games with Olimpia, scoring 893 points and grabbing 566 rebounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyle Hines was a legendary player in Europe, and it was while playing for Olimpia that he earned his last title as defensive player of the year. His teams reached the Final Four nine consecutive times and the playoffs ten times, and he won the European title four times, two with Olympiacos and two more with CSKA Moscow. Beyond his wins and individual accolades, Hines was appreciated for his style, sportsmanship, availability, and example. At Olimpia, he continued the club’s culture of selfless players who always put the team’s needs above their own. Hines retired from basketball in 2024 after lifting the Italian championship trophy for the third consecutive year. He currently works for the NBA\u2019s Brooklyn Nets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olimpia’s Hall of Fame includes 46 personalities: managers Adolfo Bogoncelli, Gianmario Gabetti, Raffaele Morbelli, and Toni Cappellari; coaches Cesare Rubini, Dan Peterson, Franco Casalini, and Bogdan Tanjevic; Italian players Enrico Pagani, Sergio Stefanini, Romeo Romanutti, Sandro Gamba (also in as a coach), Gianfranco Pieri, Sandro Riminucci, Paolo Vittori, Gabriele Vianello, Massimo Masini, Giulio Iellini, Pino Brumatti, Vittorio Ferracini, Renzo Bariviera, Franco Boselli, Vittorio Gallinari, Mike D\u2019Antoni, Dino Meneghin, Roberto Premier, Riccardo Pittis, Flavio Portaluppi, Nando Gentile, Mason Rocca, and Gigi Datome; Foreign players Bill Bradley, Skip Thoren, Arthur Kenney, John Gianelli, Russ Schoene, Joe Barry Carroll, Bob McAdoo, Kenny Barlow, Rolando Blackman, Keith Langford, Kruno Simon, Rakim Sanders, Curtis Jerrells, Sergio Rodriguez, and Kyle Hines.
