Olimpia\u2019s loss – 90-81 was the final score – was eerily similar to at least four recent losses.<\/strong> The team started relatively well, was able to rapidly come back from a 9-2 early deficit, took control and attempted to build a solid lead. And it was successful in doing it conquering twice a 14-point lead. Offensively, Olimpia was sharp at moving the ball and identifying the right defensive targets, scoring inside with dribble drives and hitting some good outside shots with Ellis, Brooks, Ricci, LeDay. But as soon as Brescia responded the lead evaporated. Olimpia\u2019s lead went from 14 points to seven at the half so when Brescia had a little run early in the third the game became a close battle. And again Olimpia reversed to a late trend of playing iso ball on one end of the floor becoming passive at the other. Brescia gained confidence, completed the rally easily and when the game became a fistfight late in the fourth, Olimpia panicked and Amedeo Della Valle stepped up. His two consecutive three-pointers from downtown decoded the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
