A couple of late threes by Sergio Rodriguez helped Olimpia to edge Pesaro 71-65 for its third consecutive win in the Italian league. Milan started well than struggled most of the night with the shooting percentages, but found its rhythm back in the fourth quarter to push back the Pesaro’s final attempt to steal the game. “I expected Pesaro to play with energy after the coaching change, they looked at lot less tentative and shot the ball better. It’s never easy when you go on the road and have to win. Rodriguez and Moraschini and also the 3-2 zone were crucial. At the end of the day, it’s the win that we wanted,” Coach Ettore Messina said. Olimpia had also a 49-39 rebounding advantage with Scola, Moraschini and Brooks grabbing six of them.
