Olimpia’s execution in Game 1 of the Italian league semifinals was great. Only for one quarter. The first. After a promising first period when it contained Trento to 10 points, Olimpia extended the lead to 12. Three threes by Beto Gomes in the second quarter and also three three-point plays allowed Trento to get back into the game. Olimpia led again by six early in the third. Trento responded with a 12-0 run, took the lead and never looked back. In a very physical game that the referees permitted Kaleb Tarczewski was the brightest spot finishing with an impressive double double (15 and 11) including four dunks.
