The Olimpia winning streak ended at five while CSKA extended its own at seven. 101-95  was the final score. Milan came back from 19 points down with a furious comeback in the fourth that scared CSKA. Coach Itoudis had to call two time-outs to stop the momentum. Olimpia competed through the last possession, but lost anyway because it allowed 20 offensive rebounds and was overcome under its own board. “That gap killed us completely, it’s not acceptable and it was unexpected. They are a great team and a big one too. We read well offensively and we took good care of the ball, we also scored 95 points. It’s not a matter of scoring more or less, the picture of this game is clear”, Coach Simone Pianigiani said at the end. Nedovic led an incredible comeback late in the game, leading five players in double digit. Olimpia was plagued by Tarczewski’s foul problems and had to play small many minutes, using Chris Burns at the five spot, but obviously CSKA’s size and aggressiveness under the rim resulted in too many second chances that ultimately decided the game. On a side note, both Kaleb Tarczewski and Vlado Micov grabbed their offensive rebound number 100 for their EuroLeague career, while Mike James surpassed the 400-assist threshold.
