After a promising first half, Dubai’s physcality killed Olimpia’s chances in a 96-78 dominating win. Olimpia shot well, made 11 threes, didn’t commit significant turnover but the difference in offensive rebounds and free throws was lethal. Dubai dominated inside with Kabengele, Petrusev and Caboclo. They started with an imposing line-up, established a superiority inside that Olimpia was able to contain in the first half but not in the second. Particularly, the beginning of the third period was decisive when Kabengele started with a dunk, a three and a three-point play. Olimpia was shocked, went before attempting a comebac. Momentum changed a little bit early in the fourth quarter with the deficit reduced to 10 points. Olimpia has a couple of opportunities to get closer ut didn’t fin its rhythm. Too many players honestly stayed beyond their standard, depite the veterans, Guduric and Dunston leading the way. Obviously not having Leandro Bolmaro and Josh Nebo, the most physical player Olimpia has didnt help.
