Olimpia closed the preseason with its seventh win in eight games, an 82-74 outing against a tough Cremona team in the Lombardia Trophy final game. Olimpia had to play without four regulars (Alessandro Gentile, Ricky Hickman, Milan Macvan and Rakim Sanders) and was short in the front-line. But Bruno Cerella acting agains as a power forward held his own and made tho two long jumpers that basically closed the game. Olimpias was brilliant with a very small lineup, had 21 points from Kruno Simon who didn’t hurt Cremona with his signature three-point shots but with an array of short jumpers and drives. He was the tournament best scorer with 49 points in two games. Miroslav Raduljica wasn’t part of the closing unit but he made five of his six shots and won the MVP trophy. In general, every players improved since the night before especially Mantas Kalnietis, Abi Abass and Davide Pascolo who showed also his passing abilities. Olimpia will play Cremona again next Saturday in the Supercup semifinal game in Milano.
