Olimpia struggled a little bit in the first half, going down by 11, 33-22, due to some superficial mistakes both offensively and defensively. But the team responded vigorously, rallied and closed the first half up by one. The second half belonged to Olimpia especially the fourth quarter. Alessandro Gentile led all the scorers with 19 points and Samardo Samuels had a devastating second half, scoring 16 while also Jerrells exploded in the long run and Hackett was a factor throughout the game in spite of early foul troubles. Olimpia won 87-67 and went up 2-0 in the best-of-five quarterfinals series against Pistoia. Game 3 is scheduled for Friday night in Pistoia.
