Curtis Jerrells, who made one of the most important and iconic shot in the history of Olimpia Milano the long two that forced game 7 in Siena during the Italian league 2014 finals, opening up the road to the championship, has been signed by the club. He’s a 1.85 combo guard. 30, coming from Hapoel Jerusalem.

WHO’S JERRELLS – Born in Austin, Texas, on February 5, 1987, Curtis Jerrells attended Del Valle High School in Austin where he started for four consecutive seasons. In 2005 he led Del Valle High School to the State Championship game losing to San Antonio’s Sam Houston 82-79 after an overtime. As a senior he scored 20.2 points per game with 5.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists on average while winning the district MVP trophy. Recruited by Scott Drew. he enrolled to Baylor, in Waco, Texas, and was All-Rookie first team in the Big 12 conference, leading his team in points (13.6), assists and steals. As a sophomore, he was named in the All-Tournament first team. and was once more the best scorer (15.0) and passer for his team- As a junior (2007/08) he was All-Big 12 first team, going in double digit 24 games out of 32 including a 36-point effort in a historical win over Texas A&M after five overtimes. He led Baylor to the NCAA Tournament and scored 27 points against Purdue. As a senior in 2008/09 he led Baylor to the NIT Final and was All-Tournament first team closing his career with 16.3 points per game. During the 2009/10 season he played 43 games for the Austin Toros in the then-DLeague while unders contract with the San Antonio Spurs. He moved to Europe for the 2010/11 season playing for Partizan Belgrade. The following year he was with Fenerbahce Istanbul and for two games with Murcia in Spain. In 2012/13 he averaged 14.2 points per game in EuroLeague while with Besiktas. He made 38.5 percent of his threes and 83.3 percent of his foul shots. He played also for the Maine Red Claws. In 2013/14 he pleayed his iconic Olimpia season. with 28 EuroLeague apperances, 11.3 points per game, 42.1 percent from thres (12.5 points and 47.8 percent on threes during the Top 16). The following year he moved to Kazan, the after an injury finished the 2015/16 season in Turkey with Galatasaray winning the Eurocup. In 2016/17 he played for Hapoel Jerusalem averaging 16.8 points per game in Eurocup including 44.0 percent on threes while being included in the All-Eurocup first team. He also won the Israelian Supercup and the Israelian championship (13.3 points per game).

NOTES – Jerrells is Del Valle High School record holder for most points scored in a game, 47, in a season (688), most fre throws made in a game (27) and best three-point shooting and free-throw shooting percentage over a season (48.1 and 84.6 percent)… His number 0 has been retired by the school, the first-ever to receive the honor… At Baylor he made the buzzer beating three of a historical win over Kansas in 2006… He’s been the first BAylor player to lead his team in points and assists for all the four seasons he spent there… He finished his college career as the firts in games won, played and started (119), third in points scored and second in assists made… In Austin (D-League) he averaged 20.7 points and  5.7 assists per game… With Partizan he won the Serbian league, the Serbian Cup and the Adriatic League… He played the 2010 D-League All-Star Game… With nesiktas he won the President Cup… With Galatasaray he won the Eurocup… With HApoel he won the Israelian league and the Supercup.. In Milan he won the Italian League and was named EuroLeague playoffs Round 2 MVP.
