Zach LeDay, a 2.03 mt tall power forward from Dallas, Texas, came to Milan during the summer of 2024 coming from Partizan Belgrade. He spent one season with Olimpia in 2020/21.
2025/26 SEASON - He helped the team win the Supercup averaging 14.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. On December 11, against Panathinaikos, he became the fifth Olimpia player to score over 1.000 points in the EuroLeague. On December, 15th, he reached the 1.000-point milestone in the Italian league too.
2024/25 SEASON - He helped the team win the Supercup and averaged 10.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, shooting 90.0 percent from the line. He was named EuroLeague's Round 7 MVP after a 29 points of personal rating vs Bologna. In Barcelona, he set his new career-high with 33 points and was named again EuroLeague's Round 15 MVP. In Villeurbanne, he crossed the 2.000 career points. He was named also Round 34's MVP after scoring 39 points of personal rating vs Panathinaikos. On April 10, vs Baskonia, he set his new career-high for made three-pointers with 6.
HIS CAREER - Growing up in Dallas, Zach LeDay played at Skyline High School, before transferring to The Colony High School for his senior year of high school. After two years at South Florida University, he transferred to Virginia Tech for his final two seasons of college eligibility. During the first he averaged 15.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, in the last he rose to 17.0 points per game, as well as 7.6 rebounds. In 2017 he was named to the second All-ACC Conference Tournament. In 2017 he began his professional career at Hapoel Gilboa in Israel, where he averaged 19.5 points (the league second-best scorer) with 8.2 rebounds per game (fifth overall). He was also second in personal rating and blocks per game. The following season, he moved to Olympiacos Piraeus where in the EuroLeague he averaged 9.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game (11.2 points and 4.9 rebounds on average in the Greek league). In 2019 he moved to Zalgiris Kaunas where he averaged 11.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. He won the Lithuanian championship and the Lithuanian Cup. In 2020 he came to Milan, and helped the team win the Super Cup, the Italian Cup and was instrumental in helping to reach the EuroLeague Final Four (10.0 points and 4.5 rebounds on average, 46.6 percent three-point shooting, 91.8 free-throw shooting). In the league, he averaged 11.2 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. In the following three years he played for Partizan Belgrade, winning the Adriatic League championship in 2023. During the 2022/23 EuroLeague season he scored 11.4 points per game and grabbed 5.1 rebounds on average. In the 2023/24 season he had 10.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
NOTES – He played the Israeli All-Star Game in 2017/18. He was MVP of EuroLeague Round 10 during the course of the 2018/19 season.
