Kaleb Tarczewski celebrated Christmas his own way, by setting his new career-high with 23 points, 10 for 12 from the field in a dominating performance that helped Olimpia defeat Brescia 87-75 for its 12th straight Serie A’s win since the start of the season. It’s the best start ever for the club, the third longest in the the entire Italian League. While Tarczewski dominated inside (Mike James and Andrea Cinciarini helped him by dishing six assists each), Curtis Jerrells was his old self on the perimeter with a season-high 19 points. It was the perfect win during this terrible schedule because Coach Pianigiani had a lot from many different players, didn’t play Arturas Gudaitis and Nemanja Nedovic, sat for long stretches Mike James but Olimpia still led basically for the length of the game after a dangerous 0-6 start. Simone Fontecchio for the second consecutive game was a presence defensively and then made some critical shots during the stretch.
