Bologna tried hard to stay alice, came back a couple of times but at the end of the day Olimpia led Game 3 wire to wire, took a 7-0 leader early and never looked in the mirror. It was another dominating game from the start. Joe Ragland, driving and dishing, with MarShon Brooks, was instrumental late in the second period to reject the second and basically last Virtus’ attempt to gain control. In the third period, Alessandro Gentile scored 12 points, was at his best and led Olimpia to a decisive lead along a Daniel Hackett very effective in drawing fouls and converting from the lines. The final score was 92-65. Olimpia swept the series away and now can look forward to the semifinals, starting in Milano, next Friday.
