For the second consecutive season, Shavon Shields has been named to the All-EuroLeague second team. Although he received the honor last year too, this time it has a much more meaning because it was obtained after a season plagued by a three-month long absence due to a right-hand injury. During the season, Shields cleared the 800 points scored for Olimpia, averaged 13.0 points per game, 4.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists while playing 29.49 minutes per game. He started 23 times out of 24, His best game was played during the playoffs’ Game 2 against Efes when he scored 21 points, grabbed eight rebounds and led Olimpia to the win. The All-EuroLeague first team was formed by Mike James (AS Monaco), Shane Larkin (Efes), Sasha Vezenkov (Olympiacos), Nikola Mirotic (Barcelona), Edy Tavares (Real Madrid). Shields is joined on the second team by Vasa Micic (Efes), Valdimir Lucic (Bayern), Kostas Sloukas (Olyumpiacos) and Georgios Papagiannis (Panathinaikos).
