For the first time in the entire preseason Olimpia has to deal with a loss, 77-73 to a very good Reggio Emilia team during the Lucca Tournament. Olimpia struggled defensively in the first period surrendering 27 points. The defense was fixed for the most part during the rest of tha game but there was no consistency at the offensive end of the floor, a typical problem at this time of the year on top of missing nine foul shots. Milan was capable to come back from 12 points down and took the lead late in the fourth. Eventually there were a couple of missteps like a tachnical foul and a silly turnover that allowed Reggio Emilia to make five free throws, regain the lead and take the win.
