Olimpia tried very hard but couldn’t come up on top against Real Madrid. The “Blancos” had a commanding game, a huge performance in Milan, scoring 101 points, leading thoughout the night and responding when Olimpia turned the tide in its favor early in the fourt coming withing two points. That was momentum-changing. But Real Madrid responded with a short bank-shot by Sergio Llull and a huge offensive rebound by Anthony Randolph and took a breath. Real Madrid had a lot from the bigs, included Othello Hunter, let alone Sergio Llull nd the first half shooting show by Jaycee Carroll. Olimpia competed hard but its good offensive game was not sustained by the defense who couldn’t find a solution against a very fluid team. Ricky Hickman couldn’t his an outside shot but created a lot of problems to Real Madrid attacking of the dribble, going to the line, scoring a lot. Rakim Sanders, Davide Pascolo and Jamel McLean had their moments like Kruno Simon. But consistency was not a factor for Olimpia who lost 101-90.
