An unexpectedly bad outing complicated immediately Olimpia’s post-season run. Capo d’Orlando had a solid game, gained confidence in the second period especially when Milano took the lead only to squander it, then built on its night for the ages by accumulating a 15-point margin that was too much to overcome. Olimpia played a nervous game since the beginning. It was plagued all night by bad shooting and worst ball handling. In the first half alone the turnovers were 16 most of them unforced. When finally played with energy, aggressiveness, implementing a three-guard line-up it was too late in spite of an impressive 24-point game by Davide Pascolo. He scored 17 points in the fourth. The defense sustained his effort only in spurts. The rally was abruptly stopped in the end when an interception by Hickman, down by 3, was ruled as a foul. The irritated reaction by the bench generated a technical foul. Stripped of possession and down by five Olimpia had to give up 87-80 and now trails the best-of-five series 1-0.
