Coach Pianigiani talked about the upcoming Barcelona game in the Round 9 of the EuroLeague regular season: “It’s a tough game for many reasons: it’s the second gane in a three-day span and we have to play without two key players like Nedovic and Della Valle, on top of being less brilliant than we were two or three weeks ago. Barcelona is a great team, they overcame a very complicated schedule to stay at the top in spite of a majority of road games. I anticipate a very aggressive, full-court defense that we will have to face with the right approach. They have incredible size when Claver is used at the 3 spot, Singleton at the 4 and inside they have Tomic or Seraphin, and that’s what we have to overcome with our half-court offense. Their offense is great at involving everybody with the Huertel and Pangos very good at creating for their teammates. From our side we have the confidence and lightness of a team coming off a surprising start. The key is to stay in the game late and try later on to do something special once more”.
