Olimpia’s winning streak ended after three wins: in Piraeus, Olympiacos won the game 82-66. Olimpia tried to overcome one of the league-leading teams on its home court, but was not consistent enough in its performance and shooting accuracy, as well as falling on a few trivial turnovers that cost a lot. Olimpia lost control of the tempo at the end of the first quarter when, after ten essentially even minutes, a couple of silly turnovers pushed the team down by 12. Then Olimpia played a great second period and had its opportunity at the beginning of the third when for five minutes it allowed just two points to Olympiacos. But during that stretch, Olimpia didn’t score (Ricci scored five points and nobody else helped), missed many open shots, had a few more turnovers (21 at the end) and the comeback never materizlized. Olympiacos got back into its rhythm and closed the game by winning it by a margin greater than it was seen on the court.
