Olimpia’s final official preseason game will take place tomorrow in Crete at 6:00 PM against European champions Fenerbahce, who lost yesterday to Red Star Belgrade, playing without Scottie Wilbekin and Jilson Bango but with the rest of their current roster (in the meantime, the signing of Talen Horton-Tucker from the NBA has been announced). Olimpia lost to Olympiacos in a up-and-down game by both teams. The second unit – featuring Nico Mannion and Quinn Ellis at the guards – provided the initial push; the second came from the starters early in the third quarter, their best part of the game, although it ultimately wasn’t enough to win the game. The roster will remain the same, with a rotation of perimeter players limited by the absences of Marko Guduric and Shavon Shields. Devin Booker, who was hit by a knee on his thigh on Friday night, will be reevaluated before the game. Obviously, Vlatko Cancar will also be out. After the game, Olimpia will return immediately to Milan. On Wednesday, there will be another unofficial scrimmage behind closed doors against Cremona to complete preparations for next weekend’s Super Cup in Milan.
