Olimpia used a 17-0 run, playing at very “serious” level in the first quarter to build a lead that was never relinquished in a 91-74 convincing win. Cremona became threateaning a little bit in the third quarter whn hit a couple of threes that shrank the Milan lead to four points twice. But anothr run ensued and Olimpia took control for good. “We were serious in our approach – Coach Peppe Poeta said – our veterans led the way, Shields primarily, and the other followed. We have been playing with the same players, especially on the perimeter, for a long time so that worrisome, but they responded once more. I’m happy.” Shields led the scored with 22 points. Olimpia overcame a tough shooting night for Armoni Brooks (1-for-7 on threes) and Devin Booker who went scoreless. Josh Nebo was definitely effective in the paint, finishing with 13 points and six rebounds, converting also 7-of-9 free throws.
