Olympiacos was stronger and better. It gained a 10-point lead early in the game and never relinquished it. Olimpia was able to comeback many times, getting within two, three points in the second half but couldn’t complete the rally or get ahead. In the end Olympiacos had always the right answers not just with a great Spanoulis but also with complementary players like Matzaris and Sloukas. Olimpia, who scored just 12 points in the first period, came back with a line up featuring Joe Ragland, MarShon Brooks and Bruno Cerella. In the second half EA7 rode Alessandro Gentile, who was able to score 20 points in the half on his way to tie a career-high 24 points. But Olympiacos was always a step ahead. 83-74 was the final score.
