Olimpia tried hard especially in a huge third quarter started on a 13-0 run that made the game difficult for CSKA. In the heart of the third, Olimpia was again within three points, 54-51, but couldn’t sustain the effort. It was too much to comeback from 19 down late in the second. In the end CSKA Moscow was able to close out the game with a commanding 97-75 win. But Olimpia had the guts to try, to compete in spite of being outrebound 45-20 and missing too many free throws or having too many costly turnovers. MarShon Brooks scored 24 points, Joe Ragland added 18, Samardo Samuels and Nicolò Melli had 10. But without Alessandro Gentile and Shawn James, with a short rotation and many foul troubls, Olimpia found it impossible to compete to the end against one of the best team in the Euroleague.
