Olimpia used a third quarter domination, held Trieste to just eight points scored, to clinch another win and at the same time securing at least the third seed in the Italian league playoffs bracket. 86-78 was the final score, but Olimpia was never threatened and Trieste reduced the gap only at the end. Leandro Bolmaro and Ousmane Diop set the tone late in the first quarter and in the second to build an early lead for Olimpia that essentially never trailed. “Our defense and generally the third quarter was huge for us.
