Olimpia controlled the game right from the start against Treviso, never looked back and won convincingly 104-64. Malcolm Delaney and Kaleb Tarczewski set the tone early, but everybody looked great, Coach Ettore Messina didn’t have to ask too much to any players, implemented a 12-man rotation, and everybody scored. Zach LeDay led the team, scoring 25 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Five players went in double digit. “We respected them a lot, they have talent and were good since the start of the season, so we knew we had to be careful and play a serious game in order to win. We did, so we’re happy,” Coach Messina said at the end. Shavon Shields added 15 points, missed only one shot, had zero turnovers and was all over the floor, with five assists too. Youngster Davide Moretti added 10 points and was locked in from the outside. Olimpia never relinquished control of the game, looked sharp and solid shooting the ball well from anywhere on the court. “Our bench players gave us a big lift, their energy was unbelievable and thats was crucial playing two days after beating Bayern in a very physical, tough game,” Messina added. Olimpia improved to 2-0 in the Italian league. “Now we have to get erady for a sequence of tough game, starting next Friday,” Coach said.
