It was a game Olimpia had to win three times. In the opening period, then in the third when the lead blew up to 13 (57-44) and finally in the fourth with a convincing run, necessary to beat Turow’s reaction. PGE was able to comeback twice tooking the lead early in the fourth. But Olimpia was definitely better down the stretch and was able to win 90-71 in a crucial game along the road to the Top 16. It was a promising game because many players had excellent games. Joe Ragland was terrific through the third quarter by scoring 20 points (5/7 from three), Alessandro Gentile had a solid game, David Moss was all over the place with his energy and Samardo Samuels was uncontainable with his physicality. And also Nicolò Melli and MarShon Brooks played with energy and enthusiasm and were also productive. In the end a very good game, holding Turow to 2/17 from three while keeping the Euroleague leading scorer, Kulig, eight points below his average.
