In the end Olimpia won 74-73. With 1.8 seconds left in the game, after a time-out Coach Repesa diagrammed a play perfectly executed. Jamel McLean attacked the rim along the baseline after Kruno Simon was used as decoy to play one on one. McLean was fouled, went to the line and made the winning free-throw. So he missed the second intentionally in order to avoid the remaining time-out that would have allowed Neptunas to advanced the ball. It was an happy end after a starnge game. Olimpia dominated it during three exemplay quarters: it held Neptunas to 26 first half-point, then survived its furious rally late in the third keeping a 12-point lead entering the fourth quarter. Then the team stopped doing what it was doing well. The ball was stopped offensively, the rebounds were controlled by Neptunas and the defense had a lack of intensity. Still, it managed to win with 15 points by Simon (who also had 6 assists), 14 by McLean, who drawed 11 fouls, 13 (and 7 boards) by Milan Macvan. Mantas Kalnietis made his debut making two huge threes and Cinciarini was Olimpia’s best player in the first few minutes. He was 4/6 from the field and had 3 assists. Bruno Cerella made two huge threes in the third just like Charles Jenkins who was affacted by foul trouble all night long.
