It was another scaring night against Caserta but it finished well. Again. Olimpia squandered a 16-point third quarter lead and went down by two in thw fourth. Then again a 9-point lead was not enough to close a game with a lot of runs by both teams but found a way to win 91-86. Alessandro Gentile in just his secknd game since what was basically a 3-month absence scored 15 second half points and closed the deal for Olimpia. He also drawed 8 fouls. For Olimpia – playing without Kalnietis and Jenkins – was the ninth consecutive wins over theee different competitions. Thanks to it Olimpia is now in first place all alone. But Coach Jasmin Repesa was not happy after the game. “We are still dealing with an emergency because of injiuries and because even some of the players available are coming off injuries and are not in ideal conditions. But while I expected to deal with fatigue I didn’t expect to deal with this concentration black-out. We have been fortunate but it won’t be enough what we did today. I’m anxious to get players back and to work in the gym to improve but until we are able to go back to normality it’s important to keep our attention level up”.
