Pallacanestro Olimpia Milan agreed on terms with Xavi Rey, who originally joined the team for the length of the preseason. Rey, born in Barcelona on July, 13, 1987, is a 2.10 mt center who won the bronze medal with the Spanish National Team in 2013.
HIS CAREER – Raised in the FC Barcelona youth teams, he eventually played for Cornellà, Cantabria, Manresa, Siviglia, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Estudiantes, Fuenlabarada, Ankara, Saragozza and during the last season for Benfica, in Portugal, where he averaged 13.4 points per game and 9.1 rebounds. Rey also won a silver medal with the Spanish National Team at the Under 20 2007 European Championship and competed in a couple of NBA’s summer leagues with Memphis and San Antonio.
