Olimpia got the job done against Trento, improving to 2-0 in the Italian league after a 93-72 commanding win. Trento hit the ground firing and hitting from all over the perimeter, 6-for-8 in the first quarter, but the inside defense and offense kept Olimpia in control. The margin was safe throughout the game, all the players helped, Olimpia was able to run, hit 13 threes and attacked the rim efficiently. While Shavon Shields led all the scorers with 19 points in just 22 minutes (Coach Ettore Messina was able to share the load), Ricky Moraschini, Malcolm Delaney and Dinos Mitoglou scored in double figure. Jerian Grant added nine points, all of them in the second half. Moraschini especially was full of energy, he drove, grabbed seven rebounds over 18 minute son the floor, made 3-for-5 from three, but one of them was a last-second length of the floor shot. “We run, we played defense, we had some promising outings from a lot of people, it has been a good day for us,” Coach Messina said at the end.
