Olimpia had the game in its hands for the first twenty minutes when it lead by as many as 11 points and closed the half with a huge three-pointer by Shabazz Napier to get a 40-31 advantage. However, everything changed in the second half and Reyer Venice won the game 76-73. Reyer took control of tempo, defense and rebounding in the third quarter when it turned a 11-point early deficit into a six-point lead. Olimpia went behind by eight early in the fourth than used its desperation to get back, led by Napier (23 points) and in the end by Shavon Shields. But it didn’t have energy, sharpness and efficiency. The lead was reduce to two points including during the last 30 seconds but it was too late. The first comeback was erased by an unexpected three by Amedeo Tessitori, the second one by a corner three made by Marco Spiss. Derek Willis added two decisive free throws at the end. Olimpia welcomed back Devon Hall. Gigi Datome was back but had an ankle problem again and was not available in the second half.
