Olimpia lost control of the game exactly when it looked like it was ready to take over, up by seven early in the third because of a very effective offensive game. Then suddenly Aris placed a 16-0 run forcing Coach Repesa to spend two time-outs while the offense became stagnant, plagued by too many turnovers and the defense was overcome in terms of energy by a revitalized Aris team.Rakim Sanders finished the game with 14 points and made the first five shots before missing on two consecutive fastbreak attempts. Cinciarini, Macvan and Simon also scored in double digit. In the end Aris won 83-68. Olimpia closed the group at 4-2 in first place and will face Banvit in the next round with the second game in Milano on March 2.
