It was a close call and Olimpia lost against a Brindisi team that was playing for its own life. 70-68 was the final score. A free throw made by Durand Scott was the key because Olimpia couldn’t convert on the last possession. It wasn’t a great game but Brindisi played hard and Olimpia accepted the challenge in spite of having many players still out of shape. Fontecchio returned and was in spurts very good but in the end Brindisi prevailed carried by Phil Goss and with many athletic bigs that created problems under the boards.
