Pallacanestro Olimpia EA7 Emporio Armani Milanoagreed on terms with Krunoslav Simon, 30, coming from two seasons at Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia. Simon’s contract is for one year with an option on a second season.

WHO’S SIMON – Born on 24 June, 2985, in Zagreb, Croatia, 1.97, Krunoslav Simonlanded with KK Zagreb in 2002 and stayed there until 2012. In the Croatin League he had six consecutive seasons averaging in double digit, raising his scoring average to 16.8 during the 2010/11 season when Kk Zagreb won the title. He increased again the following season averaging 18.3 points per game while making 43.1% of his three-point attempt. During that season he made his Euroleague debut scoring 13.2 points per game while converting 25 free throws out of 26. In the summer of 2012 he moved to Unicaja Malaga in Spain, where he was coached by Jasmin Repesa. In the ACB he averaged 9.5 points per game and was a 87.7% free-throw shooter. In the Euroleague he averaged 10.0 points per game and made 38.0% of his three-point attempts and 88.5% of his free throws. In 2013 he went to Kuban where he remained for two seasons. He averaged 10.6 points per game in the Euroleague and 9.9 in the VTB League; last season he averaged 11.4 points per game in the VTB and 12.8 in Eurocup competition (38.1% from three).

NOTES – Simon has played the European championships with Croatia in 2011 and 2013, and the World Cup in 2014. He won the silver medal at the Mediterranean Games of 2009 in Pescara…. In 2008, 2010 and 1011 he won the Croatian Cup with KK Zagreb… In 2014 he’s been once named Euroleague’s Mvp while scoring 23 points, a career-high, on Maccabi Tel Aviv. He happened again last season in Eurocup after the quarterfinals game 1. He’s a member of the Croatian National team.
