Olimpia had no energy, a lot of injuries and a limited rotation in Brindisi and lost 64-50 because of abysmal shooting percentages, a lot of turnovers and was also outrebounded badly. A 23-0 run between first and second periods was decisive. Olimpia never regrouped. In the third quarter at one point it was within four, ball in hands, but couldn’t covert. Brindisi waited for the storm to pass and recovered. In the end it was a no-contest. It’s the second consecutive loss, for the first time in the Italian league and now the first-place is in doubt. Reggio Emilia tied up Olimpia at the top of the league. Olimpia is still up because the point differential but there are three more games to play.
