After losing in the Italian league for the first time, last week, Olimpia got back on track by edging 99-86 Enel Brindisi. Olimpia led most of the game and got away in the fourth quarter when the defense stepped up a notch causing turnover and transition opportunites. In the fourth many more players stepped up including Rakim Sanders and Ricky Hickman. It was a good night in spite of playing with relative consistency. Five players scored in double figures, 12 players got to play, including Pascolo and Fontecchio who both had strong outings. “But overall our defense is still a little on the soft side and since in the EuroLeague we are last in defensive efficiency this is where we absolutely need to improve”, coach Repesa said at the end.
