Olimpia finished the game in Turin with a bang. Down by two early in the fourth quarter after a three-point play by Tyshawn Taylor that capped a long rally by the home team, Milan responded with it’s now customary killer instinct. Andrea Cinciarini’s three started a rin that a time-out promptly called by Coach Larry Brown didn’t stop. Olimpia finished strong with a 93-71 win.
Arturas Gudaitis had a dominating inside game making all of his seven field goals attempted on his way to score 16 points like Vlado Micov. Cinciarini added 10 points and seven assists. It was the fifth straight win in the Italian League. “I’m happy because all around Europe EuroLeague teams coming off a Friday night game are losing, see even Real Madrid, while we had a serious game that we cared about. The many guys who didn’t play much last Friday rebounded back very strong and made the game for us today”, Coach Pianigiani said at the end.
