Olimpia fought through the end, tried to get away many times but in the end it was betrayed but the shooting three-point percentage (5 for 23) was the decisive factor of a bitter 71-73 loss to Anadolu Efes. Olimpia had the shot to win it at the end with a three-point ball by Daniel Hackett. The rim was not his friend. And Efes won. It was a game where EA7 shared the offensive responsibility among many players. Hackett was incredible, MarShon Brooks also had 18 points, Samardo Samuels 16 and Joe Ragland 14. The defense was generally good but some turnovers and some bad breaks were tough to absorb. The officiating was also unfortunate with a technical foul called on Coach Luca Banchi when he was talking to his players asking for one more stop; and an unusual foul called on David Moss at the end of the third when at the buzzer Perperoglou was rewarded with two foul shots. Olimpia has one of the best Top 16 games but was unfortunate during a game it probably deserved to win.
