Olimpia extended its winning streak to six in the Italian league improving its record to a league-best 9-1 at the one third mark of the regular season. Reggio Emilia was defeated 81-63. “We did what we wanted to achieve – Coach Ettore Messina said – winning and sharing the minutes among everybody since we knew many players were missing for various reasons.” Olimpia took control of the game early, let Reggio Emilia come back a little in the second quarter but progressively took away and won convincingly. Pippo Ricci was sharp throughout the game. He started for the first time this season, replacing injured Nicolò Melli, and made his first five attempts from the field.
