Olimpia closed its first-round series with a convincing 3-0 over Reggio Emilia. The third game, on the road, followed the script. Olimpia struggled for 29 seconds, went behind 5-0, Coach Ettore Messina used his first time-out and then it was a dominating game again. A 9-0 run re-established the order. Olimpia never looked back, won 89-59 and led by as many as 33 points. Once more, all the players helped and the minutes were distributed among the roster. Only Ben Bentil and Devon Hall spent on the court slightly more than 20 minutes. “We moved the ball, we had 26 assists again,” Messina remarked at the end. Six of those assists came from Jerian Grant, Kyle Hines added five. Ben Bentil led the scorers with 16 points. Devon Hall was crucial in turning the game around. When, he entered the game he scored seven straight points and determined the first big run. Sergio Rodriguez and Shavon Shields added 11 points. Paul Biligha had 12 going 5-for-5 from the field. “We earned the right to rest some days, and we will try to get Nicolò Melli on the court for Game 1, whoever we will face.
