The Euroleague finished on a bad note with a 77-69 home-court loss against Limoges CSP. Olimpia had a really bad night where it allowed Limoges to score 48 points in the first half alone because of a soft interior defense and a very inadeguate perimeter defense. Limoges had a huge three-point shooting night especially with Nobek Boungou-Colo and Heiko Schaffartzik in the first half. Olimpia was never really threatening. Obviously playing without Alessandro Gentile, Robbie Hummel and Rakim Sanders didn’t help. Still Coach Jasmin Repesa didn’t hide his disappointment. “We started the game with no concentration and no defense and that’s why we allowed Limoges to do whatever it wanted. The outcome doesn’t change much but the game was important to increase our confidence level after a couple of good games and for out image. Instead we need to apologize for a bad outing. A lot of people came out so watch us, like they did after the elimination in Zagreb and the least we could do is respecting people. They showed a lot of pride for this jersey. We have to apologize”.
