With today’s game Kyle Hines officially became the player with the most appearances in EuroLeague history. He surpassed the legendary Lithuanian player of Zalgiris Kaunas, Paulius Jankunas (392 games played) and is heading towards 400 appearances on the court. He would be the first player to reach that threshold. A demonstration of exceptional longevity supported by his first place in the All-Time offensive rebounds ranking, the second in two-point field goals made and the third in blocked shots. Hines has played 10 games with Bamberg, 53 with Olympiacos, 218 with CSKA Moscow and so far 112 with Olimpia.
His first EuroLeague game was on October 20, 2010 in Rome when he played for Bamberg. He scored 20 points on 9/13 shooting from the field. He also grabbed seven rebounds including four on offense. Bamberg lost clearly but he played an excellent game. A week later he won his first game against Olympiacos: he had 14 points and three offensive rebounds. That too was an important game: only now Hines is first in terms of appearances but for some time he has already been first for games won (270 at the start of the season). He played his 100th game on 5 December 2014 when he was at CSKA, against Cedevita Zagreb (12 points, 6/7 from the field). Game number 200 dates back to December 20, 2018, CSKA against Efes. He played his 300th game for Olimpia, against Bayern on 29 March 2022. Now he is leading the league.
